Chinese kickboxing, also known as Sanda (Wushu Sanda), is a Chinese self-defense system and combat sport. Wushu Sanda is a martial art which was originally developed by the Chinese military based on the study and practices of traditional Kung fu and modern combat fighting techniques; it combines full-contact kickboxing, which includes close range and rapid target aiming punches and kicks, with wrestling, takedowns, throws, sweeps, kick catches, and in some competitions, even elbow and knee strikes.
散打(sǎn dǎ),又称散手,是运用传统武术中的踢、打、摔等攻防技法制服对方的、徒手对抗的格斗项目,它是中国武术中重要的组成部分。 散打主要是以打、踢、拿、跌、摔,其中还有肘膝等技法组成的攻防技术。 散打练习单招和组合,讲究见招拆招,出其不意。

Self-defense is a type of Chinese martial art used for defense. It emphasizes the onsite combat technology of Justifiable defense when either physically attacked or not by the enemy Self-defense techniques include close distance combat, mixed fighting, Catch and Grapple. Traditional Nanquan, Tai Chi, Bajiquan, Wing Chun and other styles of Chinese Martial Arts which are also classified as part of self-defense. The study of self-defense, in addition to the teaching techniques of Martial Arts, can also enable learners to establish proper sense of self-prevention.
防身术,是用于自卫的一种武术,强调自身被敌人碰触,或非碰触攻击的情况下,进行正当防卫的实战技术。防身术包括近身格斗,综合格斗,擒拿术等。传统南拳,太极拳,八极拳,咏春拳等各种实战技术性很强的中国武术拳种,也被归类至防身术的一部分。防身术的学习,除了武艺的传授外,也能使学习者建立起正当的自我防范意识与理念
